Preparations Before Installation
Before you begin, please ensure: ✅ You are logged into Shopify and have an operating store website
Steps to Follow
1. Obtain the installation code for the instant chat window
Log in to the 3Chat backend, then click on 【Channels】→ 【Instant Chat】→ 【Custom Website Installation】 in the left navigation bar

Click Copy Code Snippet

2.Access the Shopify code editor and import the 3Chat code
Enter the Shopify backend
Click on 【Online Store】, select 【Themes】

Click the 【Action Icon】 on the left side of the current theme

Click 【Edit Code】

In the left file list, find theme.liquid (located under Layout directory).

Paste the code before the </body> tag.


Click 【Save】; it will take effect.

3.Verify the chat plugin is effective
If effective, the 3Chat chat icon will appear in the lower right corner of your website. Please click the icon to test if the interaction is successful. If you can send and receive messages smoothly, it is considered successful.
Frequently Asked Questions
Question 1: Chat window disappears after changing the theme?
Reason: Theme update overwrites the code
Solutions:
Use the “Theme Backup” feature (Path: Theme → Action → Copy)
Re-inject the code into the new theme
Question 2: Button not displayed on the checkout page?
Check if the code is injected into the “Global Layout” (not a specific template)
Temporarily test by disabling “Checkout Protection” plugins (such as Growave/Segment)
